U11 Boys (2015 birth year)


Tryout #1 - May 28th // 5:30pm to 7:00pm

  • VSA U11-U12 // Learn to Compete

    Our U11-U12 Select program is for players that wish to be in a more structured environment with players of similar commitment levels, technical, and/or physical abilities. 

  • VSA U13-U19 // Learn to Perform

    Our U13-U19 Select program is for players that wish to be in a more structured environment with players of similar commitment levels, technical, and/or physical abilities. 

  • VSA Rush U13-U19 // Perform to Win

    VSA Rush will provide the best player development experience in Iowa. Founded on a collaborative approach between VSA and Iowa Rush, VSA Rush players have access to the highest levels of competition and to training to prepare them for their futures, both in soccer and in life. VSA Rush will provide Girls Academy teams from U13-U19 and Boys ECNL at U13-U19.

  • U11-U12 Select Information

    • Emphasis on learning to train and compete at the select level. 
    • League play includes matches in the Club Development League (CDL), involving competitive clubs from around the State of Iowa.
    • Tournament participation in multiple events around Iowa and throughout the region.
    • Invites may be issued  in mid June of each seasonal year. 

  • U13-U19 Select Information

    • Invites for U13 and above "Premier" and "Competitive" teams are issued in mid-June, prior to each seasonal year. 
    • League play matches in the National Premier Leagues (NPL - Central States)  and Club Development League (CDL).
    • Tournament participation in Iowa and throughout the region; Premier includes national exposure for older age groups through NPL Showcases and US Club Regional Tournaments.

    - Some additional competitions avaiable for U13-U14 age groups.

  • U13-U19 VSA Rush Information

    • Collaborative approach to select soccer with Iowa Rush Soccer Club to provide an unparalleled player development experience within the State of Iowa.
    • Girls' teams compete in the Girls Academy, the premier girls youth soccer league in the USA, and Club Development League (CDL).
    • Boys teams compete in the Elite Club National League (ECNL), against teams from around the nation while also competing in the Club Development League in Iowa. 
    • Both boys and girls teams will compete in showcase events, giving them an opportunity to play in front of college and professional scouts.

    U11-U12 Select Schedule Outline


    Fall: Early August through Mid-November

    - Three 75-90 minute training sessions/week


    Winter: January through Mid-March

    - 12 (60 - 75 minute) sessions at RecPlex


    Spring: Late March through Late June

    - Three 75-90 minute training sessions/week
